Check out Poison in the Well - a great article by Josh Coates, founder and CEO of a software company located in American Fork, UT. They have a cool online backup storage tool named Mozy - I definitely recommend you check it out.
The article discusses some unnerving trends in Utah venture capital involving investors providing debt financing and demanding equity in addition to interest. A big thumbs up to Josh Coates for telling it like it is.
