Sean - usually I buy a computer and it's pretty snappy at first but over time (as I install more and more stuff) it slows way down until I decide to get a new machine - usually I go from one new computer to another within a year or two (for work).

After 3 months I am still very happy with the performance of this laptop - it blows away anything else I have ever used and the video card is amazing. I am not in your industry where computing power is crucial (I do marketing), but unless you are considering a high-end alienware or xps I can't imagine you finding a better option.

How's the M65 holding up? I'm on the verge of ordering one, but I'm out looking for opinions. I mostly do 3D production work- modeling, photoshopping, animating... Sounds like it's THE machine to get right now. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I just asked our rep for a clean install and he did it - unfortunately I forgot to ask them to do a clean install on the desktops we got for the other guys so they're all stuck with that stuff...my bad.

Dell shipped you a laptop without all the crap pre-installed? That rules. I just booted up a new Dell at work and was amazed by the barrage of pop-up windows on startup.
