Dean Hunt sued for blogging?
A blogger (Dean Hunt) apparently wrote a blog post which made him rank on a particular term that upset an online store owner. The store owner first wrote an email asking Dean to remove himself from google for this search term (by the way, a really stupid request). He was apparently upset that Dean didn’t do this and threatened litigation in a follow-up email.
Fortunately for the business owner Dean is a really good guy and isn’t telling people what the company is or what the search term is. If he were to do that I guarantee Dean would outrank this guy forever (and the guy would probably get knocked off the first page altogether).
More than anything I want bloggers out there to know that not all store owners are like this guy - some of us really know how the SERP’s work and realize that a blogger outranking us is a lot better than a competitor outranking us!
