Honey Bunny in critical condition
I try not to write too many things on my blog which aren’t related in some way to internet retail (with the occasional exception of a BlogDesk accident), but a lot of people have been asking what’s wrong with our bunny so I thought I would share.
Our bunny hasn’t been eating and we finally realized that she was having a problem just chewing up her food and swallowing it. Luckily we found a vet in Utah that specializes in rabbits (and other “exotic” pets) and they diagnosed her as having Gastrointestinal Stasis.
So our bunny (Honey Bunny, you may recognize her from such fine products as critter cords) is in critical condition and we think she will be there for at least 4 days (in the pet hospital).
Some people think we’re crazy for being willing to spend so much time and money caring for a bunny - I mean, what does a new one cost, right? $30?
But Honey Bunny has been a part of our family for a long time (Jen has had her for five years). She’s been there for some of the hardest times of our lives.
I figure money will come and go - I feel good about spending money on someone who has brought us (especially Jen) so much peace and happiness.

Preston,
That was a very sweet post. I hope Honey Bunny gets through all this. If Jen’s love has anything to do with it she will. We all love her and are praying for her (Honey Bunny) and you and Jen.
Hang in there! MOM

How many bunnies out there have been a model for a cake? Honey Bunny deserves the special treatment.

You can feel some comfort knowing that you have done all that you can to take care of Honey Bunny. I hope she gets feeling better!

Mom, Devin and Shep - thanks for the support! I’m sure you’ve all heard by now but our bunny had an awful prognosis 2 days ago (they thought she would die), then all the sudden she surprised everybody by getting better!
We appreciate everyone’s support - stay tuned for more internet retail information

Having a pet is a big decision and once you have one it really becomes part of the family. Taking care of Honey Bunny is what should be done. Good Luck!

I guess things turned out alright in the end. I’m glad Honey Bunny pulled through. I had a bunny in El Salvador I had to abandon when I moved to the states. I’d go back in time to smuggle “Penguin” into the states.

When I heard that Honey Bunny was not doing well, I went straight to my local bunny charity and made a substantial donation. I hope that my contribution will help other bunnies like Honey Bunny find a cure for Gastrointestinal Stasis. It feels good to have helped make a difference in this world. Thank you Preston and Honey Bunny for opening my eyes to an unseen world of suffering and remorse. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
